Sports Massage is a type of massage therapy which uses deep tissue techniques to reduce muscular tension, discomfort and pain.
Although sports participants benefit from sports massage, this form of massage can also benefit non sports participants, as the deep tissue techniques can treat a wide variety of conditions, including:

Repetitive strain injuries
Postural related headaches
Sports massage techniques incorporate stretching and compression movements. A sports therapist will use a variety of deep tissue techniques which involve friction, stretching and trigger point compression.
